Read paper for 30 mins. Also 60 mins T.V. Total old media time 2 hours. Watched tv and more online reading so add on 2 hours!
To draw an analysis, in comparison to other students, I probably am not as much of an avid Facebook user as percentage of other students. However, I joined the masses of students who only have one Facebook account and no twitter account. Plus, I also joined the majority who did not have a blogging account. I drew similarities here. I have i-phone like 44.2% of students and use my facebook app most. Furthermore, like the majority of the jour1111 co-hort, I use the internet for 2-3 hours per day. I concur with other students who listen to the radio for under 1 hour, have a P.C and get my news online. I do not have an E-Reader or Tablet and agree that although surveys are helpful, they are not enjoyable.
I deduced that I spent the most time either on the phone or online doing readings. I also used the internet quite considerably for online banking and also used blackboard for online readings and journal articles. I did spend some time watching t.v but not too much for fear of falling behind elsewhere. However those doco’s sure are interesting and spent time listening to radio also, Social networking I used quite a bit too, face booking, blogging and plenty of time on blackboard. Emails were another huge usage. I did some lazy podcast listening to and also read some e-zines, which I had never done before. I found this useful and informative. Spent a lot of time in old media too, as is evident, reading textbooks and listening to newsworthy programs on the radio, so quite a bit of radio usage.
These graphs are quite comprehensive. Thus, it is evident that the majority of media usage time spent was on useful pass times such as online readings, email, internet and as a whole was more for educational purposes rather than entertainment and pleasure.
